Jazz Dance World Congress
Dance Company members Chelsea Elming, Emma Henery, and Leah Kacere attended Jazz Dance World Congress (JDWC) 2007 in Chicago, IL. JDWC was a wonderful experience for the girls. They danced 6 hours a day with master class teachers including, Joe Tremaine, Robert Battle, Randy Duncan, Nan Giordano, Liz Imperio, Ray Leeper, Jon Lehrer, Masashi Mishiro, Pattie Obey, Susan Quinn, Kirby Reed and Billy Siegenfeld. The girls also were able to meet Gus Giordano and Frank Htchett! Along with dance classes each day they were able to attend a dance concert each evening with dance companies from all over the world performing. The companies included, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Mexico's Cuerpo Etereo Danza Contemporanea, Italy's Danza Prospettiva Vittoria Baigi, Japan's Masashi Action Machine, Instincts Live Media, Koresh Dance Company, Odyssey Dance Theater, Chicago Tap Theatre, Joel Hall Dancers, Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, Muntu Dance Theatre of Chicago, River North Chicago Dance Company, and Thosos Dance Chicago. They also were able to meet and talk to dance company members from River North Dance Chicago and RASA Dance Chicago. Everyone is excited to attend next summer!
